How do you think the ages go? Like Micheal, John, Wendy, and Peter.

@Onasaki: Yup, Michael's the youngest, then a few years and then John followed by Wendy and then Peter.

@TriaElf9: Well yeah. I knew that much, but how old do you think they /are/?

@Onasaki: I've put Michael at 9 years old, John at 12, Wendy at 13 and Peter at 14.

I'd make John and Michael one year younger than you said, TrialElf, keep Wendy at twelve, and make Peter thirteen. That's because that way everyone being prepubescent is much more probable.

@Silly Guest Name: Actually, I based them all around Peter's age of 14. I made him 14 because Barrie's brother died at the age of 14 and Barrie based Peter on him. The boy who never grew up? Yup, that was him. I then put Wendy and the boys under him. Michael is much younger than the others, but any younger than 9 would have been a bit much. I had my reasoning for my ages ^_^ It's a little bit of an older version, but that's just how I saw it ^_^

@Onasaki: SHOOT My mistake, Michael is actually 7. Mrs. Darling had him much later than the others ^_^

@Silly Guest Name: Oh drat, sorry, checked my notes, I'd planned Michael to be 9, but later developments in the book lead me to change it to 7, but it was a last minute change that I'd forgotten.

@TriaElf9: Don't worry, it's fine. I was just saying my opinion, and I think you know much more about Peter Pan. For example, I didn't knew about Barrie's brother. I may have read it, but it got overshadowed by the more popular theory of the three children. Despite all of them saying that no, they weren't the inpiration for Peter Pan.

@Silly Guest Name: no problemo, everyone has different images of them. To be fair on us, Barrie is really inconsistent with the ages. And the other renditions have the kids at all ages. Disney puts John at 8 and Wendy around 13 or more (she always seemed so much older in that version), but the live action puts John at 12 ^_^;;

@TriaElf9: You're right. In the Disney version both Wendy and Peter look over 15, while Michael looks VERY young.
On the live action film... Honesty, John looked older than Wendy, to me. O.o Quite weird. Not to add the very delicate matter of birthdays, and in what precise time the story happens. All that we know is that it starts and ends in London, in the first decade of the twentieth century. A quite loose time period.

@TriaElf9: So, are you going to change Micheal to 7? XD

TBPH, I always placed Micheal around 5 or 6. Simply due to the basket bed, the fact that he's wearing that gown thing. (I've looked over the wiki numerous times)

In Hook, however, Peter was supposedly ten, until he grew up and became Robin Williams. Though, in the flashbacks... he looks much older. Which is weird.

I guess really, it takes whatever you decide. Though... in the cartoon, Peter Pan and the Pirates, he seems more around 12-13. With Wendy being like 10-11. John being 8 or 9. And Micheal being 4 or 5.

In Jake and the Pirates, Peter's more closer looking to 9 or 10.

<.< yeaah... I've done research. XD

In the Disney cartoon, Micheal looks 4.

I only VAGUELY remember the live-action... I need to catch that sometime.

@Onasaki: I think Michael can probably be 7 just fine. I do want him to be a lot younger than the others. I teach a lot of 7 year olds and 9 year olds, and honestly, they're not all that different size-wise ^_^
The one thing for me is that, when not stated outright, it's super tough for people to tell ages of people. I teach a lot of kids, so I'm okay at it, but I'm still not great. And pretty much anytime I meet anyone taller than me, my brain jumps to "they must be older!"
I wanted them to be a bit older in this version, but with Peter, Wendy and John, I think I hit the live action ages. I think Disney makes Wendy and Peter the oldest looking that I've seen them, though that was probably just the art style ^_^;;

I just found this today and I am so happy I did. I wasn't expecting much, but then I got a really nice surprise! You have kept so much of the spirit of the book and I just love it! I cannot wait for more!

Oh- awww! those faces as they wake up! The boys are ADORABLE!

And I must say... As for Michaels actions and his way of speaking, I always imagined him to be quite young... he argues like a kindergarten child, which puts him somewhere between four and six. But seven actually makes sense, when I read your reasoning... hmm... well and it makes sense to put peter at fourteen, but... I just think he acts younger than that. Well, you never know. And I like your version anyways!

@snow crystal: Thanks! Yeah, I always assumed Peter just acted super young, despite whatever age he was ^_^

@TriaElf9: Well, there's a reason if acting like a child even when you're old(er) is called 'Peter Pan syndrome'.
