More pretty narration, and first glimpse of the boys!! Yes, those are their actual silhouettes ^_- You'll meet them all on Wednesday, in great detail! :P The pirates and natives are all unnamed characters' silhouettes, 'cause I want to save the named ones for laters ^_- Also, CROC TAIL :P

Remember, today is a DOUBLE POST DAY so look for page 154 as well!

"More pretty narration(...)"

You do realize, don't you, that the term "<a href="">picaninnies</a>" is considered derogatory? As I've said before; Barrie was a man of his time, but that time was not nearly as idyllic as a lot of people tend to think that it was.

@reynard61: That's very true, but it's also true that the way Barrie describes the happenings on the island with such clever words that they sound professional, yet childlike and fit the story as such much better than any other words could. It's true about all the racist things in there, though. Sadly, most books from those times have those terms in them. That makes it impossible for us readers to forget how society was thinking at those times... well I'm glad they're mostly over, and at least where I live most people have come to their senses regarding racism. On the other side, I don't think any time was or is as idyllic as people would have liked it to be; not even the presence. there's still so much to do better.

@reynard61: Yes, I do realize that, unfortunately, it is their actual name. Heck, Tiger Lily and Great Big little Panther aren't exactly kosher either, but I have to stick the with names to keep them recognizable. (Barrie also spells it different from the original term, which helps out minuscule) It is a downside. Oh the time was not idyllic at all, I'm not making any pretense about that, I'm all about the here and now, I just love the writing style that he writes in, I'm not saying that everything he wrote ABOUT was perfect ^_^;;
I have actually done a ton of research on the whole book, so I'm well aware of the pitfalls ^_^;;
