They did want a mother, they've gotta take it all, the story telling with the rules. Although even I have to admit, 6:30 is an early bedtime.

@Onasaki: Ahah, well, that's the time Barrie wrote ^_^ To be fair, they don't go to sleep exactly then, they have to get ready, so actual sleeping probably is more like 7:00.

@safyrejet: hehe, they do indeed ^_^ It seems so early, though it's not exactly clear how time works on Neverland, so days could be longer, or darkness could come earlier. But it's the time Barrie said they went to bed, so I put it down ^_^

They wanted a mother. Be careful what you wish for, boys.

@Onasaki: I was put to bed at 7:00 when I was a kid, so it's not too bad.

@Wolfsubzero: I can't remember what time I had to sleep, but I do recall that it was early enough that I felt it was SUPER unfair, eheh

Waaaait ... how does she knows the time? Did she smuggled watches into neverland?

I was also put to bed at 7:00 - or, at least, ASAP after the TV bedtime story which ends at 7:00 now and I think it always did because TVs are conservative. And yes, it was SUPER unfair :-)

@hkmaly: They know because of the croc ^_^ I didn't show it here, but I will later on. They send Peter out to find the croc, when they lose track of time, and he listens for the clock chimes and comes back to tell them, and they go from there ^_^ It's a cute little detail!

*giggle* This is just so cute - and I think I told you already, I never really was find of Wendy. I think this is one if the reasons for it; being one of the lost boys, I wouldn't have liked it. Being Peter, I wouldn't have liked it. Being in her place, I just wouldn't be able to do it, because - what for? There is no alarm clock to wake you early in the morning, 'cause there are no appointments such as school for them... And I myself never liked sleeping as a child. I always had trouble with it. I just couldn't imagine forcing someone else to do so without a valid reason to, and I can't quite understands what it is that makes Wendy do it (gotta admit, though, she does well). I guess she's just doing it because in her expirience it's part of a mother's job. And that's what children do, playing make-believe, don't they... I guess I just never played make-believe like that. Why would I take my less-liked thoughts with me to my own world?

It's a nice scene, and it's cute, alright, but it still makes me think of how I never liked Wendy much again... I'm sorry, Wendy Darling, it's just a feeling... :/

But it's very nicely drawn, again. I especially like the panels that show the boys just roaming about playing, you captured them so well :)

@snow crystal: Yea, I also never was much a fan of Wendy, but through doing this adaptation, I've really come to appreciate her a lot more ^_^
The reason Wendy does what she does is that's her role in the game. As we'll see later, even when there's no food, she still serves dinner, it's just the game ^_^ There's a point later even where Peter makes a new game that's doing "boring" things, like sitting, going for walks, things that John and Michael have done all their lives. The reason this sort of thing is fun for the boys and Peter is that their whole lives are the sort of life we "make-believe" in, so that's normal to them. Therefore, our normal lives are the unknown, fascinating adventure that they've never had ^_^
