This line about Peter despising all mothers, apart from Wendy, it's a little earlier in the chapter in the book, back when we find out he can't write. I chose to put it later since I really feel it's important that the narrator says it, but I really also wanted Peter to be the one to announce proudly that he can't write and narration didn't really fit in that scene, I felt ^_^ It's such an important facet of Peter, and Barrie's whole thing with mothers, I really wanted to make this scene powerful ^_^

Hope you guys enjoy the page, I'm really happy with it!

^^ I just checked the past few pages since I haven't looked smackjeeves up for a while, and just had me grinning and giggling through all of them, my smile only vanishing with this page :) You drew all their expressions SO WELL!!! It was really really fun just looking at them, and I adore the fact that you actually told us about the answers Slightly gave since they weren't in the book, and which answers you made him give, and how proud he looked :D Thanks again for that, it was so much fun to read :)

Besides that, I seem to remember Peter saying something about his mother, how his parents always used to talk about what job he shoud do when grown up and such; nd I think I can understand his animosity against mothers very well. I think it was the right descicion to put the line here, by the way, it keeps the previous scene light and fun and makes it possible to show his expression while thinking about it here (and as I already said, you capture all the expressions so well).

@snow crystal: Yay, I'm so glad you liked the pages! ^///^ Oh those Slightly answers were fun to come up with ^_^

Yeah, there's even more in Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens with him and his mother, but I'm trying to keep in mind Barrie's issues with mothers that he brings through so clearly in the story, so I'm glad this page worked out okay ^_^ I'm so glad my decision worked out okay! ^_^
