Yay for Tootles! :D

Also, I just realized that, without specifying that Nana was a dog, it sounds really weird that Mr. Darling chained her up in the yard. XD

@ReaderWriterNerd&Geek:

Well, Mr. Darling always did have some rather odd ideas about how to treat the help... (Ifyaknowutimean *winkwinknudgenudge*)

@ReaderWriterNerd&Geek: Wait, Nana was a dog? I though she was african-american (although they were called differently back then).

@hkmaly: No, Nana is a dog - a Newfoundland, to be precise. :) It was mostly white Southern Americans who had black nursemaids for their kids; there weren't too many black people brought to England itself.

@ReaderWriterNerd&Geek @hkmaly: Mostly they just lived normally in Europe doing all sorts of work, you're right, the nursemaid thing was primarily the Americas.
Also you're right in that they weren't African-American, in that England isn't America, so they wouldn't have been called that.
But yeah, no, Nana is a dog, as she was in this comic. The whole reason being that the Darlings are not very well off and couldn't afford a human nurse.
